Whether you want to shift a few pounds this New Year or  plan on slipping back into healthy routine after all those tins of Celebrations, #TheCloset have rounded up five green smoothies that will aid your January detox. Blenders, at the ready. Whilst The Skin Cleanser is lashed in extra beauty-benefits, The Immunity Increaser will make sure the bugs stay at bay this winter.

The Skin Cleanser

1 cup of fresh spinach
1 cup of coconut water
1 cup of pineapple
1/4 of avocado

Just as the name suggests, The Skin Cleanser is packed full of antioxidants that will help and repair your skin. Pineapple features vitamin C, an essential when it comes to antioxidants. Whilst avocado boosts vitamin E and A. Oh and let’s not forget about zinc.

Vitamin C Boost

2 chopped carrots
1 apple
2 cups of baby spinach
1 orange
1 tablespoon of grated ginger
200ml of filtered water

Boost your vitamin C content by blending together carrots, apples and oranges. This one also helps with wound healing. Who needs plasters anymore?

The Immunity Increaser

200ml filtered water
2 cups of fresh spinach
4 romaine leaves
2 oranges
2 ripe bananas
1 tablespoon of grated ginger
1 peeled cucumber

Got a cold? Sore throat? Increase your immune system with a tangy mix of oranges, bananas, cucumbers and spinach. Oranges are filled with vitamin C, which tackles cells and keeps them healthy.

The Greenie That’s Not Green

2 cups of spinach
2 oranges
2 bananas
1 cup of strawberries
1 cup of blueberries
200ml of filtered water

Sure this smoothie may not look green but it’s packed with just as much nutrition-value. Ideal for kids and those with a sugary tooth, it’s bright, sweet and includes everything from potassium to iron.

Pre Workout Buzz

2 cups of fresh spinach
2 cups of almond milk
1 apple
1/3 cup of oats
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1/2 ground cinnamon

Recharge and boost your energy with a Pre-Workout Buzz. It includes ingredients that include a mixture of protein, good carbs and healthy fats. Whereas the apple produces quercetin that will deliver more oxygen to the lungs, coconut oil is great if you’re exercising for weight loss. Bottoms up.
