Model Cara Delevingne is adding to her CV with yet another major movie role. Having already starred in The Face Of An Angel, with future products such as Tulip Fever and Paper Towns yet to be released, this time round she’s going futuristic with sci-fi saga Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
Adapted from the popular graphic novel of the same name, director Luc Besson broke the news on Twitter in his first ever tweets. Not a bad way to join the social media site.
Having previously directed The Fifth Element and Lucy, Besson also let slip that Cara’s leading man is Dane DeHaan, who previously featured in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
According to Deadline, the pair will be playing two time-traveling agents, Valerian and Laureline, who “help defend a utopian 28th-century Earth and its neighboring planets from bad guys.”
The film is said to be released in 2017, with Cara currently filming Suicide Squad, which is due to be released next year.
